Joel Nava.
Joel is Owner, Publisher and Head Photographer at our studio.
He is also a full time teacher at Weslaco High School where he
encourages young minds to learn journalism skills. Joel received
his BA in Communications and Masters in Education from the
University of Texas Pan American.

Beckie Rodriguez.
Beckie is a designer and writer with TRS and J. Nava. She enjoys reading, poetry, writing, photography and cheese fries. She is also the UIL Journalism Coach at Weslaco High School and an alumni contact for The University of Notre Dame where she earned her BA in Graphic Design.

Sabel Vela.
Sabel is the Head Designer for The Rising Star. Some of her favorite things include laughing, taking photos, spending time with family and friends, watching sports, and working a little. (If you need to be on her good side, bring cheesecake.) She is a current student at the University of Texas Pan American.

Angel A. Berrones
Angel Alfredo Berrones is a designer and a design student. He was yearbook editor at Weslaco High School and worked with The High Life, which is the school newspaper. He is interested in photography and acting. In his own time he likes to read and take pictures. He attends UTPA and is currently studying graphic design.
